What does the quiz ask?
- 01
Where are you in school?
Pick the closest one. Parents: answer for your student.
- 02
How much time can you give scholarships each week?
Be honest. A plan you keep beats a plan you drop.
- 03
Would you pay for a service that applies for you?
Every legitimate scholarship is free to apply for. This is about paying for help, not paying a scholarship.
- 04
How do you feel about essays?
Many scholarships ask for one. Some ask for none.
- 05
How do you feel about sharing your data?
Most scholarship platforms are free because colleges, partners or advertisers pay for access to student data.
- 06
Do you need reminders to stay on track?
Deadlines are spread across the whole year.
Example: a high school senior with one to three hours a week, open to a paid service after a free trial, happy to write essays, fine with data sharing if they can opt out, and keeping their own deadlines loosely.

Do you have to pay to find scholarships?
No. 5 of the 6 platforms here are free to use, and no legitimate scholarship charges you to apply. ScholarshipOwl is the one paid service: it charges a membership after a free trial for applying on your behalf, reapplying and tracking. Its plan prices are not on its own public pages, and its terms say payments are non-refundable except in limited cases. Paying for a service is a choice about your time; it does not raise your chances of winning any one scholarship, and ScholarshipOwl says so itself.
How is this different from a list of top sites?
We do not score or rank platforms. The quiz applies published rules to your answers: first to weigh the four paths, then to check each platform's published facts against your situation. Two students with different answers will see different orders, and platforms with the same fit are shown as equals. The rules are the same for every platform and are written out on How matching works.

Frequently asked questions
What is a scholarship match finder?
A short quiz that matches how you work, such as your time, budget, essays and privacy, to the kind of scholarship platform that suits you, and then shows which platforms' own pages describe what you need.
Is there one scholarship site everyone should use?
No. A senior with little time and a budget may want a service that applies for them; a student with time and strict privacy may do better with school and local sources and a free database. The quiz shows the fit for your answers.
Does this site rank scholarship platforms?
No. There are no scores, totals or winners. Platforms are listed alphabetically, or in order of fit to your quiz answers, and equal fits are shown as equals.
