How does the quiz decide?
Two steps. First, each answer adds points to the paths it makes more useful; the highest becomes your starting point. Second, each platform gets points for describing your picked paths and for matching your situation, such as reminders or no-essay awards. The full rule table is on How matching works. A feature marked Not on the pages we read may still exist; we did not find it on the pages we read, so check with the platform.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the quiz send me to my school and local sources?
Because your answers put them first: you care most about privacy, you are early in high school, or you have time for strong essays. Local awards often get fewer applicants. The result still lists platforms in case you want one too.
Why are some platforms shown as an equal fit?
Their published facts match your answers to the same degree. We list equal fits alphabetically rather than invent a tiebreak.
Why did ScholarshipOwl drop out of my list?
If you answered free tools only, paid services are moved to a separate box, because ScholarshipOwl charges a membership after its free trial. Change question 3 to see where it would fit.
Does the quiz save my answers?
No. Your answers live in the page's address bar so you can share a result. Nothing is sent anywhere.
